An opening reception will be held on the evening of Saturday 25 September 2004 in the Conference centre at the Fitzpatrick Bunratty Hotel starting at 7 pm.


A conference lunch will be held on Wednesday 29 September 2004 at 12.30pm. This will be a table-served lunch in the Bunratty Castle Hotel and will be an opportunity for the presentation of prizes and Executive Committee announcements.


We have block booked the medieval banquets at these castles for the night of Monday 27 September 2004. We have reservations at two locations since each is limited to about 140 persons.

Bunratty Castle is located adjacent to the Fitzpatrick Bunratty Hotel. It was built around 1450. The banquet consists of a 4 course “medieval” Irish meal, with Mead and some Craic*.

Knappogue Castle is about 15 miles from Bunratty Village (buses will be provided). This was built in 1467 by Sean MacCon McNamara and is considered a magnificent example of a medieval tower house. The banquet consists of a 5 course “medieval” meal and some Craic*.

Reservations are on a first come basis. Closing date for guaranteed reservations is 27 July 2004.
* An Irish word for fun, entertainment and of course good conversation.
